I probably should have put this in the Noob section but since it is Gen specific it got put here.

I am looking at timing belt/water pump kits. Through my searches here it seems that I have found 2 different kits that meet all of the requirements that others listed without paying the dealer prices. The part numbers listed between the two both seem to be exactly the same. However, one lists differences between the different water pumps on the Tocamas and it got me thinking if there were any differences between the 4Runners.

My Vehicle is a 2000 4Runner SR5 with Automatic Trans.

Is there any differences that I am not seeing besides price?

I don't know about 4Runners, but ....

The reason for the Tacoma differences have to do with whether or not the Taco is equipped with the factory Tow Package (which included a transmission oil cooler for automatics).

 

Look to be the exact same, I know people have ordered from Volkstoy and have been happy. Thats who I'm planning on ordering mine from next month.

 

I ordered from them yesterday. Hopefully the parts will be here by Friday and I install them this weekend. I spoke with the owner on the phone and he seemed very helpful.
