NEW INFO EVERYONE!!! I was driving the truck the other day and a friend of mine says it is smoking a bit. I can't notice it while I am driving, but he said behind me he could see it. Also I notices a trace amount of oil in the air filter. No loss of power or performance. So. New questions...what would the problem be (rings etc)? How would that effect price? Thanks again all.

Hey guys have to sell my truck. Boo hoo. I was wondering if you guys could let me know what a fair asking price might be? I have been out of the game too long to know what the going price is anymore. Any help would be appreciated. Here are the basics on her:

Nobody estimates prices without seeing the rig.
But, minimum maybe 2k?

I will try to get pics up ASAP. The truck is stored at my father-in-laws place. Having a guy look at it Sunday, and can take pics then, but I am sure he will want to know what I am asking, and I have no idea. lol I have a lot of money in it, so I want to get what I can out of it since I am not working. I was wondering if 2500-3000 might be fair. Thanks for the help guys, and again I will get the pics ASAP, but it looks pretty good except the color is poop brown, so it isn't a pretty color, but the paint and body are good, and engine bay clean. Everything works great, its a good truck, I just need the cash.

 

i don't buy lifted rigs, and i'll tell you why.
when people lift rigs they're usually rigs that are beaten, then put away wet..
idk how you treat your rig, but sight unseen i would only give you 2000.
if it's a really clean 4runner that is "mint" then 2500-3000 is fair...
if it was a stock rig, grandpa owned, i'd give you 3500.

Found some pics from the summer. She was a little dirty but you can see it.

 

174,000. about 20,000 on motor.

 

2500-3000 easy.
Granted the front axle doesn't need any work done to it.
not a bad looking truck.

I say do what everyone else does, and slap $4000 OBO on her and see what people offer for her.
Ive made a lot more money selling vehicles that way.

 

i agree with starting high and then lowering your price unless you're in a rush to get rid of it. truck looks pretty clean in the pics even though it's dirty and doesn't have that many miles. the recent engine is also a big plus. you could also make a couple extra bucks by selling your tool box and lumber rack separately and it probably wouldn't change the value of the truck w/o them. dunno what the market for vehicles looks like in CO, but here in CA you could pretty much ask top dollar and someone will buy it. maybe spending a day on detailing and making it look sharp will help the sale.

why are you selling it though? seems like a good truck to keep around even if you're not going to drive it all the time. everyone needs a truck at some point.

 

I would start at 4 and work down to 3ish. A yota like that has a high demand.

 

i agree expecialy 84s there hard to find in good shape they hold there value i would say between 32 and 4

Need the cash. Its basicly a ring for my fiance. I think she would rather have a ring rather than a 84 Toy p/u since she has a 93 4Runner already. lol

start high on price like 700 to 1000 more then u really want he will try to jew u down your truck is worth at least 3200 in the oregon market nice truck by the way just bought myself a really nice clean 84
