poor gas milage

I have an 86 standard pickup 4x4, 22r. 3 inch body lift and 33's and a weber carb. I have been getting bad gas milage since i have bought it. The only thing i have done is change the head gasket and replaced the exhaust manifold. Anyone know why or what is giving me bad gas milage? Only getting 150 miles on a tank as well.

I'm guessing that a lot of it is going to be the 33's and lift. Has your truck been regeared? Funny thing is I have a Weber carb on my 22R as well, and I get only between 10-12 mpg city, but 23-24 highway

Did you put another stock exhaust manifold on it? I had an '84 with the same carb as yotaman90 and running 33-1250's with stock gears. The only difference was that I had a long tube header from hooker on it with a 2 inch exhaust all the way out. I did find that engine timing was critical as well. I was getting about 16-18mpg average of all around driving. Hope this helps out some.

On a truck with a Weber?!? A Weber has no provisions for an oxygen sensor, it's a carb!
