3.4 convertion. need hood scoop, HELP!!!!!

i am swapping the 4 banger with a 3.4L i need a hood scoop or something. i need input and sugestions please!!!!!

You just made 2 threads saying the same thing.

If you dont want a body lift, then your options are to mount the engine lower or cut your hood.

Junk yard. Get say a Subaru hood and cut out the scoop n weld away.

tuef - you got me thinking....

So i googled factory hood scoop. this is what i got.







I never thought of just cutting another one off.....im going to go take a stroll through my local junk yard tomorrow at lunch and see what i can find....not that i even need one haha.....yet

Body lift is the best choice, just make your bumper sit up higher, and it's not even noticeable..

Sorry to say, but body lifts are a last resort in my book. But, thats an option too.

YEah. I plan on 4.3ing my TR at somepoint, and I always just planned on making one out of sheet meatal, but now im gonna find me a suby hood. sick. man i love this website. thanks teuf.

I opted for the 1" body lift for my swap. Makes many other things much easier but I get not wanting a body lift as well.

Personally I dig the backwards facing scoops myself.
