Installed OEM foglights now I have a problem

Hi all,

About a month+ ago I installed oem foglights in my 2000 4Runner SR5.
I bought the entire kit which included the oem switch for the dashboard and all.
After the install everything looked good except that I keep burning off one the bulbs (H3 55watt).
I thought that it was a faulty bulb, but I have gone thru 3 already.
I can't remember if it's only one side that it's burning off the bulbs or if they alternated.
I guess something it's not right with the wiring.

Any advise please,

TIA,

maguirre

Have you inspected both the hot and neg connections to make sure all are firmly grounded and held in place?

Check connections - any reduce strands in a connection will cause high resistance. Check mount to ensure it's not loose and vibrating the bulb to death and finally make sure you keep your fingers off the bulb, the oil on your fingers will kill it.
