i have a 96 tacoma 2.7 over the weekend i got some bad gas was able to drive it home put 2 cans of heat drygas and octane boost in it drove it to the nearest gas station and put some 93 octane in it shut the truck off at the gas station and started it back up and drove it home let it sit over night and went to staRT IT UP IN THE MORNING AND NOW ALL it does is the starter spins but doesnt engage the flywheel took it out and brought it to advance auto they cheched it and said it was good but weak the teeth on the fly wheel are fine i put a socket on the crank and the motor turned no problem little harder on the compression stroke then little easery on the down stroke its a 1.8 wcold weather starter i live in ct can the starter be to weak to turn the flywheel should i have it rebuilt by a shop that does that
