1zz-fe

Anyone know if a 1zz-fe will bolt up to a taco/pickup 4x4 manual transmission?

i would bet not

plus the engine has no low torq. so it would be useless in a truck or runner.

I'm trying to get some answers for a guy I know. He wants to put it in a Samy. Is there a 4x4 tranny/t-case that will bolt to it. I'm hearing something about a Rav4.

the 1zz was never in the rav4, but the rav4 was based on the Corolla. The Corolla has lots in common with many other toyota production cars. Such as the Celica and Matrix. The Celica and Matrix both used the zz engine, shared the C series tranny. I don't know much more about it but that may get you in the right direction.

even if it did bolt up it would not be a very desireable engine for off roading because they are pretty gutless in the lower RPM range. i have a 2ZZ-GE powered vibe (matrix in pontiac badges) and it doesnt make decent power until you get into 4000+ rpms. good engine in a car though
