removed my brake sensor

removed my brake sensor

my new thrd member didnt come with a tone ring but i put the sensor back in the top of the housing.it never threw a lite or anything .now im getting new exhaust put on and i wanted to remove it completly.i cut the wires now the antilock lite comes on on the dash.if i just connect the wire back to itself will the lite go out or do i have to hook the sensor up again?

You need to hook the sensor back up again. If you connect the wires together, the system will think the rear end is locked up and try to activate the ABS system. If you don't care about ABS, just take the ABS light out of the dash and leave the wires cut. The rear ABS on those trucks was pretty worthless anyways.
