just changed out the timing belt tensioner in my 4runner (3.0 v6) and now the engine wont turn over. the install went smooth, so i'm not really sure what is wrong. initially after putting everything back together, it fired up and ran a little rough and the idle was high. not really a big deal since i did just drain the coolant and the computer reset itself since the battery was out. i had this happen before when i changed the water pump. i shut it off and let it sit for about 5 minutes and then went to fire it up again and now i get a loud knock coming from the unit on top of the airbox and it wont turn over. any ideas as to what it could be?

 

Cam timing out of whack?

 

that's what i'm thinking. i may have stretched the belt when i put the new tensioner on and when i stretched the belt, the belt moved1 tooth on the cam gear. maybe i should rotate the cam gear back a tooth and see if it helps? any thoughts?
