Swap 90 22re into 86 questions?

Do I need to swap my EFI from my 86 pickup onto the 90 engine ,if I'm planning on dropping a 90 22re into my 86 which also had a 22re?? Would this all be plug and play??? Both trucks are auto's.Thanks!!

as long as none of the sensors goes to the new truck yes it's a direct swap. You cannot use anything off the new engine electronic wise, including injectors, ecu, temp sensors etc etc.

sorry i am a bit new to toyotas. My 86 has all existing wiring still in it, so if I was to swap in the 90 engine,I would need to use all 86 electronic parts existing in the truck and anything I can transfer to the 90 engine?....so no 90 electronics. .....just thought I'd clarify with you, thanks a lot for the response greatly appreciated.
