Need help with my subs, losing power

Ok guys info in my sig but the subs have been giving me problems lately. They stopped working the other day and I noticed that when I would hit a bump or dip while driving then they would turn on for a sec or two.

I parked and noticed they would once again come to life when I pulled the parking brake.

I realized the RCA cable is right below the parking break assembly so I crawled under the dash and tugged a bit on the RCA cable and the subs would come to life. So is my RCA shot? I unplugged it from the deck and connected it to make sure it was secure and still the same problem

You either have bad RCA cables or a loose connection.

As stated above, first things i would check would be RCA cables and the ground.

I say poke your head out and make sure you didnt run aground in Scottland causing your lack of power issue.

OH Wait I reread your post and it seems its your stereo subs that are lacking power so it could be as stated above or even worse your sub/rear channel in your head unit/amp going bad bit it does sound like its the rca cables start there maybe you will get lucky and thats all it is

alright i took the deck out to look at the rca connectors and saw nothing physically wrong with them and the grounds were all good so i took it to a local audio shop and they tested it and it turned out that the deck was bad. so i swapped it out for another one i had and it works great!

but now i ran into another problem. it seems as if theres a white plastic area thing right behind the deck and this deck is slightly longer so the RCA connections are mashed right between the deck and the back wall. is there a way to make a little room back there?

i know i wish i could describe it better but i dont have any pics so ill try to figure something out, maybe put some washers between the deck and the dash to space it out

you could try a set of right angle rca adapters, then they arent going straight out of the head unit, rather outa little then down.
