I have a ECU out of my 87 4runner but its says 22r not 22re but the 87 was EFI. Could it hurt to try the older ECU?
As you can tell by my other posts about this issue is drivin’ me bonkers.

I know they don’t go bad too often but I’m really tired of testing one thing after another and getting nowhere.

 

All computers for 22RE`s are marked 22R on the computer tag, that`s the correct computer for your truck.

 

Brain transplant completed, however she’s still actin’ a fool! I guess its more tests til I find the problem or die trying!
