side exit exhaust heat shield

I'm about to start my new exhaust set up on my rig. I'm wanting it to pretty much be like the stock exit location except exit through the side of the body right in the middle of my MC bumper so its well protected. I'm having trouble finding a heatsheild for me to have on the body that the tip will be flush with. Planning on having a slant cut tip. I'm hoping they actually make something like this. Plan B, if no such shield is avail, is just get a small square of SS sheet metal and rivet it to the body and cut the hole for my tip. Hoping this isn't the case. Can anyone help me out?

make sure you mount it away from the body just a little bit.

it won't be much of a heat shield if it's mounted STRAIGHT TO the body..heat will just transfer straight through the metal.

so mount it about maybe a half inch away from the body..and it should cool better.

that's a clever idea though! didn't think about that lol

I don't really want any of the tip sticking out. I'm not concerned with the body getting hot as long as it doesn't Melt my taillight or somethin. Like anyone watch nascar? There sidepipes are part of the body of the car wish some sort of heatshield behind them. Maybe I should write bill france lol
