22re oil pan removal (without body lift)

I did search and found the posts confusing about the oil pan removal on the 22re 4wd. Some said take the diff off, others said jack up the motor only with a body lift, etc...
Here is my receipt, without taking off the diff. on a stock 1987 pickup(no body lift).

- Drain and take off the radiator
-Unbolt the steering damper and let it down(just one bolt at the left extremity)
-Put the truck on stands and drain oil
-Put a jack under the transmission
-Unbolt the two motor mounts
-Jack up a bit the motor
-Unbolt the oil pan and let it down on the diff
-Take off the oil pump (4 bolts) and let it down in the pan
-Get the oil pan out by the front of the truck

2 Hours and it is done!
Good luck

I did mine that way on my 89 a few years back, I don't recall touching the rad!
Oh! & not to be picky, ....but step 7 you unbolt the pick-up tube, the oil pump on the 22re is on the front of the engine.

FYI lifting on the motor will only work if you have a manual trans or an auto trans with say a 3" body lift. This is because of the extra hard lines the auto has above the trans.
