Going 35's help me pick a tire

On my last several 4runners I've run the Mickey Thompson MTZ and loved them. They are fairly quiet, have good tread life, work well on and off road in most all conditions, and they look good. But it's time to try something different (I think). I've spent a lot of time looking at tires and I think I've narrowed it down to the BFG KM2, the MTR, or the MTR with kevlar.

Lowest prices I've found on these tires SHIPPED:

315/75/16 BFG KM2 $1140.00-$60.00 Rebate = $1080.00 From Discount Tire Direct.

315/75/16 MTR $1072.00 From performance plus

315/75/16 MTR Kevlar $1012.36-$80.00 (possible rebate)= $932.00From Sears

And just in case

315/75/16 Mickey Thompson MTZ $1112.00 From Performance Pluse

Mostly want the best looking and best performance along with a a fairly long lasting tire. If you know how long these tires are expected to last feel free to post up (I hear differing stories on tread life).

Thanks in advance!

Anthony

Voted KM2.

I know 5 people that have them, myself being one of them. being around the tire alot, I can say they are damn near perfect... perfect performance + good mileage and tire wear.

I dont have experience with the 35s, but i'm always around these sizes:

31x10.50
32x11.50
33x10.50x2
33x12.50

I dont see why the 35s wouldn't be any different

i bought kevlar-lined tires for my bike, and they have saved my sorry a55 quite a few times. i went to change them out for some snow tires, and found a small piece of glass all the way down to the lining. i'm still using them

my vote: the kevlar ones

MTR kevlar. Hands down. They run large, so you get more for your money. They look badass. EVERYONE runs the Km2's.. which run shorter then advertised BTW.

When I first saw the MTR Kevlar I hated the look. The more I see them the more I like them especially after seeing them on Dirtco's rig. Thought it was kind of weird but I haven't found anyone running these on a 3rd gen yet either. Only real concern with these is I have heard that with certain sizes you can only run a white wall out in order to run the tire correctly (or something like that) reading on it here http://ttora.com/forum/showthread.ph...+Kevlar&page=6

A 315 will have black wall out on the correct side. White wall out is only for the smaller sizes

No probblem. Check it:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....MTRK&tab=Sizes

Tire rack is the cheapest I've found. Sears is about 275 with an 80$ rebate but that negates any savings compared to tire rack.. Unless you can get Sears to price match that 256 from Tire rack and still get the 80$ rebate.

Good luck man

Yeah only problem with that is I'd have to pay $120-$170 for shipping from tire rack. But that's still a good price.

I think those might be a bit more aggressive than what I'm looking for. But thanks for the suggestion.

I vote you buy an Xterra and put the KM2's on it...but that wasn't an option so I just voted for the KM2's.

Mmmm...could be?

Features: EXTREME TREKKER - The Centipede
·Sturdy independant blocks bite on rock surfaces for excellent rock climbing.
·Continuous circumferential block provides good handling on and off road.
·Two-stage unidirectional sturdy lugs designed for maximum self cleaning properties and maximum soft ground traction.
But...I guess we'll never know?
