Some TPS help

94 4x4 3VZE, I was checking the resistance on the TPS today and am having a hard time. I read thru both the FSM settings and the tutorial at 4crawler. Just to make sure here, with the TB on the truck E2 should be the top prong, IDL 2nd from the top, and VTA the 3rd from the top. When measuring resistance between VTA and E2 and throttle closed I get .746k O, with throttle wide open I get 4.55k O which appears to be within spec. When checking IDL and E2 I get absolutely nothing, no readings what so ever, nothing, nada, zip, regardless of throttle position. No codes being thrown either.

Does your timing change/idle drop when you jump the plug?

Might just be an adjustment issue. If the TPS is turned too far, the IDL-E2 contact will not close.

thralldad & 4crawler appreciate your response,

As for idle, it is all over the place, and truck just does not have the get up and go that it should. Press the gas and it feels like something is holding it back. This is all after a HG/timing belt/head rework/and some serious cleaning.

Tried some adjusting and still nothing across IDL & E2, and finally last night it threw a code 41, so I just went ahead and bit the bullet and ordered a new one. I quite possibly might have got some carb cleaner on it when I was cleaning the TB when I had it all apart, and in reading other posts after the fact I understand that can damage them. I could use the 75 dollars on something else but it has 200,000 miles on it now so it has seen some use and cannot hurt to replace. I have to get most of the little bugs worked out so I can start the process of replacing the timing belt on our 300ZX(dread, never done a 4 cammer).

Also had a code 71, but I got that sorted out by cleaning the EGR good.
