if you change the gears in the rear you have to change the front gears to match. if you dont when you put in 4x4 you will mess alot of stuff up and if you have locking hubs up front you will not feel a front locker until you lock your hubs. alot of people say dont waste your money on limited slip but its reall up to you. im planning on lockrights front and rear on my truck

From: Nashville TN. I can help you if you're close BUT NOBODY CAN HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T FILL YOUR LOCATION IN!
On the cheap you can install a LSD for the front axle out of a junk yard Celica(?) and for the rear, google is your friend.

A Detroit TruTrack is a Helical gear LSD that uses no special fluids or has clutches and springs that could eventually go out.

Search all the main sites like Randy's Ring and Pinion, and Summit or even EBay...

This is a PowerTrax No-Slip... I think it's marketed as the easiest to live with and limited slip-like pocket locker.

if you are just installing a locker or LSD then no, you will not have to change the front.. good luck.
