Hey All
I got a call from a buddy today said he was driving and his engine just died.
Towed the truck to another buddies house where it sits now.

The issue we have narrowed down to no spark at the plug.

Things we have done
We swapped the distributer cap and rotor from my truck as well as the igniter and the other part that send spark to the distributer into his truck. Still no spark.

Decided to swap his parts into my truck and it ran fine. So i know everything from his truck is good from the igniter to the distributer.

We have checked all the fuses and they are all good.

Any ideas what could be wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Could be the distributor itself. Mine went out just a few months ago. If you have a multimeter you can test it. FSM gives the range for the readings.
