Reed Valve 86 22r

I recenty replaced the head on my carbed 86 PU.

During the re-build, I did strip the reed valve that sits below the carb. Unfortunately, during re-assembly I got distracted and am not sure if I put the valve plate back in the correct way. It fits facing forward and back. It has an arrow stamped on the plate.

I’m not sure if this would cause any problems – anyone know which way this goes?

Thanks

A bit of a misfire at low revs - poor take-off from idle.
