Tippy II Finally Lives!!!!
#1
I am so excited.. I finally have my truck back! (In a new cab!!)
Tippy II drove really well for the most part on Friday on Left Hand doing Big Motha Hill and then the parts further up on Left Hand 286 D. Having less weight up top and in the engine compartment definitely made a huge difference. (No more 2nd Gen body or 3.0 engine) The suspention issues seemed a lot better with a lighter engine and top. Even my All Pro springs are no longer de-arched!
Yes this was me actually driving...

Time to update the sig!

What we did was:
1) Cut all the Armour off of Tippy:
2) Cut all suspention off of Tippy:
3) Weld all of the above under the new Tippy II.
So Tippy II has an 85 Frame, Cab and 22re. She has a 93 SAS Suspension and axles (although my original front axle on the 93 was an 85 - that was gusseted and fixed for Hy-steer)
Tippy II did not get the 3.4 engine swap as that was part of the trade to get the new cab and not pay any money to get this done. I am fine with a running 22re right now as I didn't even have another $1K in materials to finish out the 3.4 swap.
I can't believe how fast it went once we decided to scrap the 3.4 swap and trade that for a running 22re! But a huge chunk like about 2 full weeks of work were due to Troy and his friend Eric, who owns a shop with a lift and he let us use it....
And yes it makes me very happy!
