Spuddering Idle, fine after a while

Start the 86' up in the morning and it will run with a miss but after working up and driving less than 2 miles it idle just fine.. I do live at 9,986 ft. haha Just installed new NGK singles and it does sound better. Revs up with a little more power. Still super quiet though. I was thinking check out the Idle adjustment scrw on the carb. Also What is the two lines that run above the parking brake adjustment under the bed? Think I have a leak. Be crawling under her later.

I'm guessing I must have cracked the one of the spark plugs when installing them. On 2 of them it was very tough to get the socket off so I had to wiggle it some. It's been raining for a couple days and haven't had time to check it out. Runs great after it's nice and warm.

I could see how the Idle Air Control Valve would be a problem. So you can clean it out? Guessing it would be hard to fine a new IACV?

There are a few threads out there...

I took mine completely apart and found NO SOLID answers.

My truck runs great at temp.....

studdering at 4-500 RPM when cold, must use gas peddle to start, and keep running for 15-20 sec.

One poster responding to my thread stated each full rotation of the cap holding plunger in =~200RPM.
I screwed the cap in 9 1/2 times, Ill try turning it out:dunno more air and see if that helps.. may be a day or 2.

Good luck

Yeah, It runs great after reaching temp but idle is sloppy. This truck doesn't have a IACV! It uses the carb dude. All circuit run off that. Looks like I might need to adjust my idle adjustment screw and clean the whole guy with carb cleaner.

So the truck has be running with a misfire. It started at only idle but now it is popping when letting of the pedal and such. Still think I might have cracked a porcelain on my plugs. It did not run like this before at all. Big change since the plugs where changed.
