Weird wheel noise at highway speeds
Hey guys,
Just got back from a 300 mile road trip this weekend and I noticed a strange noise coming from what sounded like my front driver side wheel. It wasn't the first time I noticed it, but it seems to have gotten worse. Here are the symptoms:
Between 60-75 miles per hour, when I let off the accelerator it makes a low-pitched hum, kind of mild grinding sound. Above 80 miles per hour, it does it constantly. When the noise happens, I can feel a mild vibration on the floor under the pedals. My truck does not pull to one side or the other that I can notice, it just makes the noise. The tires up front are still fairly new, only about 10k on them. I know I am in need of a brake job, and my alignment has been off for a while. I think that my brakes may be binding a little which is what causes it, but I'm not sure. Any thoughts? Keep in mind, this is a two wheel drive vehicle, so anything 4wd related will not come into play here.
