Weber Carb, now where do the hoses go?
Purchased my truck with a weber 30/60 already installed, but the previous owner did not do anything with the hoses coming out of the top of the valve cover. Where does the breather hose and the pcv hose supposed to run to now. I looked in the service manual, but everything that they used to run to has been elimated, and I don't have the original installation instrutions that came with the weber. Thanks for your help!

the rear (PCV VALVE) hose goes to the adapter plate that is between the carb and the valve cover. The plat eis what is used to replace the removed EGR pipe. It looks like this:

The front one (breather) goes to the bottom of the air filter onto an elbow. Looks like this:

You can also remove the elbow from the air filter and tape up the hole on the bottom of the air filter and put a breather filter onto the valve cover.
And just to be sure he did it right, the Distributor advance hose goes to the outermost connection (one closest to the radiator) on the distributor and on the carb here:

Make sure all the other hoses that were disconnected (ie EGR modulator, the 2nd distributor line etc) are plugged up from the vacuum rail as well.

Of course! That would figure that my engine is missing that block off plate! lol. Does anybody know where to find that plate, and is there supposed to be a block off on the other side of the egr valve? I think I could fabricate that up, but it would be much easier to just purchase it.

As for the EGR removal, you can keep it there if ya want, I did. But you do have to remove and block off the vacuum lines to it to disable it from opening. LC Engineering sells the block off for it though.

xxxtreme22r - Is there anyway you could send me a couple of photos of how all your vaccum lines are run on the right side of your engine??? I noticed in the rear of the egr block off plate photo you have vaccum lines hooked up to the that riser right next to it. My truck is missing half of the vaccum lines I believe, or they are run to the complete opposite places they should be. I took the egr valve off, and routed it the way that you showed it should be, and now I am having this weird problem where the truck doesn't always want to shut off after the key is turned off. The only other time I have experienced this with a vehicle, is when there was a bad vaccum leak. Once I see how the lines are supposed to be run with a Weber carb, Im sure I wont believe that my truck was even running...lol. So if there is any way you could snap a photo or two of the correct routing of the lines, I would really appreciate it! THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

thos hoses don't go anywhere, they don't get used anymore, I got some house cleaning to do under there and all of the lines are either looped to block off or a screw stuck in them to block them off. the only thing I have hooked up working is the brake booster, pcv, valve cover breather and the ignition advance. For the ignition advance you can see I just ran a hose to one of the ports in the riser that goes towards the distributor. then another line from there to the outtermost port on the distributor. All of the EGR vaccuum lines you can remove and place a cap over. Or loop them like I did to make sure they don't cause a vaccuum leak when one of the VSV's open.
