Socal Trip Report: Gold Mountain/ John Bull. 5/30

Went up to Big Bear lake to hit da rocks. Traffic and such wasn't too horrible even though it's Memorial day weekend. I got no interest on the forums for anyone to join, so I said eff it I'll just go by myself.
I know, I know. But I figured I'd run into a group of jeeps or something
Well even better.. At trail head I ran into a family in a jeep. They were there by themselves as well. After a quick handshake and a CB channel agreement we were on the trail. Pics :

The Jeep was an 02 TJ with a ford 8.8 rear end, D30 front, 4.56's and LSD's w/ 35/12.5's. Rob was a totally cool Jeeper

Gold Mountain:

Gold Rock Garden:

John Bull, The Gatekeeper:

The group of jeepers you see was actually there last year around the same time and remembered me and my stock Tacoma. That report is here.

Me going up

The lunch spot. The Hammers is down there somewhere..

Don't know why this one came out blurry..

That's all I got, hope you enjoy the pics

LOL. He didn't seem to have a problem. IDK if they have the same Cclip problem as the rear ends.

Is it considered conceited to have a picture of your own truck as your computer's desktop background ?

Sean, let me know man.

I'll only make half doors if I get the doors for free. I might make or buy some tube doors eventually.

True that. If I can find some doors for nothing I'll do it. I've always liked tube doors BUUUUUT as much weather we get here half doors would be a better option...imo.
