Green wire in alternator bundle goes where ?

When I was bolting everything back after my timing chain job I found a green wire that doesn't appear to have been attached to anything for a while. It is in the same bundle as the wires that are connected to the top of the alternator with a nut. This is a small gauge green wire with a small spade connector. Where is this wire supposed to be connected ?

When I did mine, there were only three wires back there:
1. The large brown plug that goes to the back of the alt.
2. The hot connector that has the red rubber thing that slides over the top of it.
3. The ground wire that bolts to one of the powersteeirng bolts by the dist.

I never saw one that was green back there. Hope that helps...

I have the above three accounted for plus the green wire. Doesn't appear to be hurting anything by not being connected. This green wire is coming out of the red insulator around the hot wire.

I have no idea. I've never seen one like that before on my engine anywhere...
