95 3vze into 88

I picked up a low mileage 95 3vze to replace the one that is dieing in my 88 4Runner.

I have searched and have not come up with anything in particular, but am I going to run into any problems..?
I know the newer engine has the hydraulic tensioner and my 88 is mechanical, but other than that, will there be any problems using essentially the long block from the 95 with the 88 intake and injectors.

Anyone who has done this and can post up anything would be gratefully appreciated...

Thanks

i just put a motor from a 94 into my 88. i just used the whole 4runner harness because the distributor and all the plugs are different. most of the electronics from my 88 were no good.

it will work but some of the connectors are different . Just use the old parts from the 88 engine and put them on the 95 long block.
