buckin problem

I have an 85 4runner w/ 22RE 5spd. All the sudden it started bucking when I let off the gas in any gear but significantly more when using the tranny to slow down. Im lost. Pinion angle is fine. Clutch is 3 years old but has been normaly abused offroad. It is fine under acceleration. Any ideas?...... thanks

Brian

My 85 pickup did a similar thing, except it started at about 2400 RPM in each gear up until about 4th or 5th.. My check engine light has been on since i bought the truck 2 years ago and this has only occured maybe 2 or 3 times.

OK it started again on the 3 hour ride home from Uharrie this weekend. The motor does not surge or sputter so it does not seem fuel or spark is the problem and it only does it when the clutch is engaged in gear with no throtle. It has to be in the drivetrain somewhere ..... right?
