Trans Output shaft Brass bushing?
Ok, After waisting money on a new driveshaft (new u-joints & balanced), It looks like my 1997 2WD 4Runner SR5 has a bad "Transmision Output shaft" brass bushing. Has anyone replaced one of this before? How do you do this? Thanks!!

A340F output shaft Bearing/Bushing Bad
Thank you "Pismojoe" for the FSM link. Have you had to change one of this before? Is this a common thing to fail on this transmissions? Thanks!

Well, It all started right after I installed a 3" lift. First, started to make noise only when driving between 50-70 mph, and only when there is no load on the driveline. Example; when using cruise control, or when barely pressing the gas to maintain a constand speed. Anyway, it first started as anoise now it started to vibrate. No to violent.

I don't think I've ever had this bushing fail, but when we pulled out my buddys w56 to replace the bearings, we threw a new one in while we were in there.
Since you said that it started after you put your lift on, your pinion angles could be off. Check out "4crawler's cheap tricks" to check your pinion angles. There's a lot of good info info in there, and its laid out very well by roger.
Just my .2 but it should help!
