repairing pinhole leak in coolant pipe??
In my 1984 2WD 5 speed longbed, 22R engine, a coolant pipe has sprung two pinhole leaks. It's the pipe on the driver's side of the engine, u-shaped with a bracket welded on to it, takes the coolant from the rubber hose out of the water pump to the rubber hose from the lower radiator outlet (or visaversa). The dealer wants about $100 for the pipe (part # 16577-35070), and has to order it. I'd like to try to patch it first, the holes are small. Can someone suggest the best way to do this; the only thing I can think of is JB Weld. John

I kept trying to jb weld my radiator but it kept blowing holes in other spots lol. It was the factory radiator and was due for a replacement anyway. I have had good results with the jb on other coolant leaks in other vehicles...
But since yours is on a line you may be able to wrap the weld all the way around it to get a good seal on it.
