Some may remember my thread about my t-case being broken... Well that's not the case. after dropping the whole thing, and opening it up, I couldn't find anything wrong with it.

So on a hunch, I checked the oil in my front diff... Yup, chunks on the magnet.. I saw that with mixed emotions. On one hand I don't need a new t-case! But on the other, I need to put it back together now, and reinstall

But anyways, I know nothing about the front diff, I am pretty sure I have 4.30 gears, (99 Limited)

I only have an hour more with the truck, before I go home until Sunday so I need to figure this all out quickly. I'm not gonna mess with fixing it, just going to swap in a new one. Pretty sure I had vacuum actuated ADD.

Anyone know for sure??

Thank you wabbit, but now I'm more confused. according to that chart my axle code is a04a... Makes no sense.

Anyone?

 

Heres a carnage shot.. this is what came off my diff plug, and out with the fluid.

 

It's 4.30:1 for A04A gear
