The engine doesnt turn over so I started taking it apart. The head is off the timing chain is still in. I'm at the point of removing the timing cover. The FSM doesnt say which way to turn the crank bolt, I think its counterclockwise but would like assurance from people who have done it. So which way is it? Also do I need the special tool if the pulley is stuck? Thanks.

 

The 5VZ is righty tighty, lefty loosey so I can't see the 3RZ being any different.
