Power Steering cover spins freely - fluid leaks out

Hello Gents,

My 94 4Runner's power steering reserviour cap/cover spins freely. It is the cover to the res, not the cap which has the fluid gauge. The cover is loose and spins freely resulting in fluid coming out the top. I can see evidence of the fluid dripping down the side.

Does your cover spin too? Im would like to know how to keep the fluid inside the res so it does not spill out.

thoughts?

Many thanks. I changed the PS bottom O-ring just to realize the fluid leaks from the top and not the bottom.

Get a new cap, yours is missing the rubber gasket or is the wrong one period.

You just need to go to the junkyard and get a new one. according to the manual, the tank can be removed. I don't know if you can get just the tank from the stealer though.
