Which Doug Thorley header part number do I need?

hey guys, i searched, but couldnt seem to find an answer to my question. i have an 87 pickup with a 22r that needs a new header, so i figure if your gonna do it, why do it half ass. So im gonna slap a doug thorley header on there, but i want to be sure im getting the right ones. they say itll fit a 1987 pickup, but i want to be sure. im looking at the 550-Y tri-y header. any advice? thanks guys

Why are you trying to find "headers" plural when your truck only needs a header?

As long as you meant 550Y, and have a 22R (carbureted), and not 22RE (fuel injected), it should work. Fuel injected would need the 555Y header.

the ceramic coating is so that the header radiates less heat. Not that big of a deal in our trucks, but if you put it into a cramped say supra/celica engine bay then I would spring for the coating.

dammit!!! i just got a call from the place i ordered it from and apparently Doug Thorley is discontinuing the production of the chrome 550Y header. and apparently they did it right before i bought them so i was pissed. so i had to pay $65 extra for the ceramic coated header and now they wont be here for another week.

Is the ceramic coating on the inside or the outside of the pipe?
