im going to pick up a 351W and a zf 5spd tmr, now ive been reading like a mad man for the past 3-4 hours and i was planing on selling the zf and buying a T18 n xfer but thats our of the question (drivers drop duh didint think of it) so im back to the ZF any one use it in a toy? its a 2wd tranny but i was planning on getting a divorced case ford or nissan, any one else do this? only prob i forsee is the stick not being far enough back or too far forward....any ideas? heeelllppp

 

all i can say is...try to find a different t-case....i dont think you'd be able to use the divorced t-case would ya?

 

what do you mean? its a 2wd ZF 5 spd, if i get a divorced case all i gotta do is make a mount and stub shaft....much easier if it were a ford divorced case but that aint gonna happen

 

First of all have you measured the size of the 351. They are alot bigger than a 302. I putr a 390 in a yota and it took a hammer to make it fit.

 

i think i saw your cardomain page? lol it was posted somewhere, and ill be fine with cutting my firewall no biggie i dont need no street queen, and also my ZF 5spd stick is gonna come out right below the radio so some cutting and moving around of the dash is required..hah ill post picks n such when i get a chance

 

I would go with the driverside drop and find a set of ford d60's.I dont know what size tires or axles you have now but with the 351 you will need some good axles to take the power.
