97 tacoma cap fit 94 pickup?

There is a guy that is selling a nice truck cap near me that came off of a 97 tacoma. I have a 94 pickup regular cab. He took measurements, and the bed size is the same, but the part i am worried about is how the back of the cap slants towards the cab. Will this fit on my truck alright? Does anyone have any input on this?

Not 100% positive, but I think they are both 6 foot beds and it should fit fine.

Go and try it on. If it fits, pay him and drive off. If not, drive off.

the dimensions are very similar but with the angle of the cap you are mentioning you may have some issues. I ran into a similar situation a few years ago when i was looking for a canopy for my old '97 Tacoma.

Stinks to make a long drive but in a case like this the only way to be sure is a test fit.

I have a SWISS truck cap from a 2000 Tacoma on my 1995 pick up. It fits fine. If you stand close and scrutinize it to death you can tell that the gap at the bottom is about 3/4" larger than the gap at the top where it butts against the cab. Nobody sees it until I point it out to them though so I finally stop mentioning it.

Just buy it if you like because it will fit. I got such a good deal on mine I couldn't pass it up.

You would have a harder time fitting an older style cap to a tacoma verses what you are trying to do.

Im not sure the brand. They are asking $125. Im not sure if it locks. If not, replacement locks are cheap enough.

The cap curves too much where it meets the cab. I guess i will keep looking

I don't know how close you are to Raynham Mass, but this cap looks pretty sick:

I got mine for $275 off craigslist. It looks similar to your picture but not curved I don't think.

I should get you pictures so you can see it.

For $125 I would have just bought it. Pre-tacoma truck caps are difficult to find.
