help identifying where part goes

Hello, new here! I made this account for my dad, because, well 1. we LOVE toyotas, and 2. We need some help.

My dads '84 toyota had an oil leak around the timing chain cover (22R engine), so we tookeverything out of the front, replaced the seals, and have begun putting it back together.

However, we've run into a predicament- where does this part go?

Anyone have any pictures of where it goes?
