85 4runner EFI Hesitation

Hello

About 2 months ago I changed the clutch in my 4runner (276,500 miles). Soon after the clutch was changed I began to notice that while driving on level road or down hill and trying to maintain throttle speed I get a hesitation or jerking. I cannot make it hesitate in neutral it only happens while in gear while trying to maintain a constant speed.

I have already checked the drive line and the egr valve. I have looked for a vacuum line that may be disconnected or damaged. No luck so far.

Any ideas?

When was the last time you replaced the fuel filter ?, I would start there first, the second thing i would check is the TPS, if its original they can go bad and cause driving issues like your having, so check it and see if its properly adjusted, or possibly bad.

I have the same symptoms on my 85 pickup with R22, so I don't have the TPS. Any other ideas?
