Question 85 Diesel Wont Start!

Im new to this forum and figured this is the best place for some help. I have searched and searched and cannot find anything that helps. I have a 1985 2wd diesel pickup. I recently hurt my leg and could not drive my truck because its a stick so it has been sitting for about 1-2 months.(Now for the problem) The truck started right up with no problem, but then after 10 seconds it DIES! Now i cant get it started at all. I have checked my glow plugs, fuese, battery and belts. With an ohmmeter I am getting up to 7 volts at the glow plugs (is that right?) Also, is it possible for the diesel to go bad after 1 month? -thanks in advance for any help

ok well the glow plugs arent even necessary except in winter wich it is.. but check your primer for your fuel line you might have a hole in your line prohibiting diesel fuel from reaching the necessary pressure to reach the injectors i dunno about toyota but cummins cat and detroit diesel injectors open at over 2000 psi it sounds to me like you need to do some priming it takes like a good 10-15 min of pumping sometimes

also 7 volts wouldnt be enough to start the truck i think you need at least 10 try battery box or someting but i would check the fuel first
