I'm so happy with how this turned out! It fits perfectly! The frame cutting wasn't as bad as I thought either. Took a couple hours because the ARB instructions are terrible (yes, even though they are Tacoma instructions), so we had to go through some other instructions I got offline that were all to Tacomas as well, but we finally figured it out, then drilled the 1 hole on each side up through the frame, put a bolt through one the holes that held the stock tow hooks, and then got it mounted. Had a lot of extra parts for some reason too, hmm. Besides that, I love it!

But was also going to say, bumper looks great. We need to get people to post pictures of the cut frame/drill process. I forgot to take pix myself.

 

I installed those bumperette things upside down too, when I installed mine. Its kinda a pain to change them after the bumper is on the truck.

Elton - Thanks bro! It cost me $725.00 flat. Bought it from Wheelers there in Oregon (so no sales tax), then picked it up up here at ARB in Renton which is like a 15 minute drive for me (so I saved around $120+ that would have been charged for shipping).

CYi5, BajaRunner - Haha thanks for the heads up, it probably would have taken me a very very long time to realize that one. About the frame, all we did was use a saw to cut off the main excess (that was maybe a quarter inch to half an inch at the most on some sides), then used a dremel to smooth it out. So I guess we really didn't cut the frame, but just cleared the lip on that end cap.

yoder519 - Thanks! I've only had them on a few weeks now, so haven't really experienced them a whole lot. They do really good in the mud and through water. Haven't taken them on the sand or through snow yet, and they aren't as loud as I thought on the pavement. So far I really like them.

Elton - Hey if it's in good condition I'd go for it! Then again if you would rather spend the extra and buy a new one, you might as well drive up here and pick it up so the shipping charges don't come and stab you in the back.

Yeah that's true, the cost of gas/hassle would probably level out pretty close to just having it shipped down there.

 

I put ARB Prado on my wife's Runner 2 month ago and as far as I remember instructions were clear and easy to follow. Be honest, I installed it not even reading instructions as it was obvious, then read just for fun and they were good from my perspective. May be Tacoma is a bit different...

Was that 725 their normal price or a sale price? As much as I would love to pick up a used bumper cheap, I dont think that fits into my time schedule for now and will probably have to wait till summer when school ends and work starts. I would probably just buy one then once back in Seattle...

 

AlexJet - It's a possibility. The instructions I got were mostly about a winch it seemed like, and only 2 pages or so about the bumper assembly itself.

LINY4Runner - Yeah, that's my twin bro's pickup, my dad's Tundra, and my mom's Highlander. We've had 5 other Yotas in my lifetime too, and I'm only 18 haha.

It took an extra 2 weeks for me because that was the next time they were getting a shipment in. But if you ordered it maybe a month or so before you come back over I'm sure you'll get yours by then.
