83 4x4 stock height??

I used to have a 4" susp. lift on my 83 but brought it down to stock height using the original susp. parts, the thing is the truck seems to be slightly lower in front (just slightly like an inch or so), someone told me that these trucks came from the factory with that stance and to even it out i would need to add a spring in the front or use shocks with a coil spring on them (overload shocks i think). is there any truth to this? I checked and double checked the front springs before putting them on, also the springs where marked as to which side and direction they belonged to by the previous owner to help with reference. is this just how the trucks came or did i screw up somewhere in the process?

I dug out pictures of mine when it was stock, a long long time ago, and you are right, the front is slightly lower than the rear. I guess for loading the bed. I would post them, but they are from film. We do remember film? Right?

just about every truck always sits higher in the rear.

when i got my 81 it was level, maybe a little lower in the rear. so i put an AAL in the back to bring it back up. rides like crap, but i should be doing full spring swaps here pretty soon.

my front springs are also shot, especially the drivers side. about 1-2" between the spring and the bump stop.
