Haha that for sure Wab. Who you gonna get you bend those pipes? lol I dont know to many people with a pipe bender in there shed.

But I was thinking about building one for some time now. I wanna put a additional Fuel cell in the place of the Rear tire and also I wanted to see about getting dual Exhaust for the truck.

Yes, I'm sure that there is a bunch more work....Came out nice. Agreed...the fun part, I love tinkering with the little stuff.... I like the general idea, but I keep my spares on my roof (Habit from when I lived where there was lots of snow and crap on the ground in the winter). Was thinking of making something like this to store my bumper jack, and perhaps a large box to handle my recovery gear (straps and chains and such) so they dont junk up my bed anymore and perhaps a fuel tank (so when I am on the road with some friends driving great big diesel rigs, I dont have to get them to pull over for gas when they dont need it (they have dual tanks and such), I could just gas up at the hunt site.... Plus I could use it to lock my tail gate with my cap on it (double doors inside the tailgate). I would just use straight metal, not bend it, and cross support it.

Wabbit, do you fab stuff full time, or is it a part time gig for you? (Just curious) I just bought some spacers from you. Must be a good gig, all those fun toys to play with and you probably get to experiment on building different stuff a bunch.

That is really cool! I've wanted to make one, too. Unfortunately the rear of my frame is rotten with rust. I don't think a bumper with that much weight on it would stay attached to my truck for long before falling off on the freeway.

That's really nice! It would be nice if someone would develop some plans for things like this. Charge a fair price and you have all the measurements and angles taken care of. Then you could either fab it yourself if you have the ability, or have someone local do it for you, taking out a lot of the guesswork. Even a kit would be cool, pre-cut and bent, just weld together. Would be a lot cheaper to ship also in a more compact box. Does anyone besides KMA make a rear bumper/tire carrier for the 1st gen 4runners? (I've heard horror stories about fitment and customer service from KMA, but can't speak from personal experience).
