need someone to measure/look that has an auto

Hi all

I am going through the process of a 3.4 swap into my 92 pickup and need a bit of help. I am installing an a340F transmission and the dipstick is on the passenger side and I need to get it on the drivers side.

Most guys say to use a t100 oil pan but when i referenced a t100 trans pan in the Toyota electronic parts catalog, i get part number 3510635022 which is the same part number on any 89-95 auto pickup/runner.

I was hoping that someone can take a picture of their pan/dip/stick entering the motor compartment area for me. I have no friends that own an 89-95 with auto so I cant inspect for myself. I was going to buy a pan off ebay or the classifieds but do not want to buy a paperweight. I have misused my catalog before and want to make sure this is right.

I thought most 89-95 auto's were 340H which is the same pan right? Just reversed dipstick to the driver's side, which is what I am looking for.

thanks for anyone that can help me out

I was going to look last night, but my 3 year old ambushed me at the front door and WWF Smackdown ensued from then on. All thoughts of trans pan P/N's flew from my mind as I tried to save myself from an engergetic toddler bent on taking me to the mat.

I have an '89 3.0 auto with the A340H trans. My trans dipstick comes up the driver's side and is "hidden" down below the distributor. I will get the P/N off the pan for you tonight.

No luck on a P/N, nothing on the outside of the pan or on the flange. It might be on the inside, but, I'm not pulling the pan to look. I like supporting my fellow Yotatech guys, but I'm not that committed.

The pan measures, roughly, 16 1/4" long x 10 1/2" wide, measured from the edge of flange to edge of flange.

There are a total of 19 bolts attaching it to the trans.

The dipstick exits the pan on the driver's side of the pan, within the front 3" of that side. It runs up along the block and the dipstick on mine is buried down under the distributor, where it is a pain to get out and in.

Good luck,

Mike
