Steering Stabilizer Woes

I recently replaced the steering stabilizer on my 94 p/u with a pro-comp unit. Unfortunately because the Pro-comp shock is so much thicker, when turning the wheel all the way to the right, the steering shock contacts the stop for the pitmann arm before the idler arm hits it's stop, thus limiting my turning radius... Anyone else run into this problem?

I have a a Pro Comp ES3000 stabilizer and mine works fine. It sounds like you have the wrong part. Is the shock compressing all the way?

I believe mine was an ES3000 as well, It'll compress all the way, it just won't extend all the way because the nut and body of the shock runs into the pittman arm stop. Hope I'm making sense here...
