85 No drive train whats it worth ??

I have been looking for a 1st or 2nd gen solid axle to build. I plan on running a vw diesel, flat bed.... doesn't really matter right now.what I do need help with is.... I found an 85 reg cab long bed... it was a diesel but the engine, trans and t-case are gone. I don't have any pics. But I can tell you the cab is in very nice shape and the interior is complete and original. Frame is solid. Only downfall is the box which I was not planning on using anyway. I asked what the guy wanted for it and he said "think about it and give me an offer"....what do you guys think this is worth ?? Also this is in ontario so finding one of these trucks is extremely rare ... any help is greatly appreciated

$300-400?
I wouldn't pay that much, but it is probably worth about that.

I wouldn't want to pay more than $400 for a non running complete truck..... so I definitely wouldn't want to pay any more than a couple hundred bucks for a truck that's been stripped of the drivetrain. I'd say make your max offer around $350 if the axles, and everything else looks good, so you could still part it out and make most if not all of your money back.
