Hello Yota
I'm new, Glad to be aboard. I have a '92' V6 3.0 4runner. Have a bad water pump so I had to get into the timing belt. I made a mistake and took off the tensioner first and the cam pulleys moved so now the markings on the pulleys don't jive when i'm at TDC. how do I fix this rookie mistake or can I?

Welcome to the forum!

If the belt is still off the engine, you can just turn the pulleys with a 17mm wrench on the pulley bolt and line up the marks. If the belt is back on...bummer. You will have to remove the belt, align all three pulleys and reinstall the belt.

By the way, if the timing belt got antifreeze on it you should replace it. Antifreeze or oil on the belt will weaken the rubber and lead to a premature failure.
