what radiator do you use with the 3.4 in 84 4runner

I've got an 84 4runner and the radiator has a couple small pin leaks in it and someone has tried to weld it, but was unsuccessful. I am seriously looking at doing the 3.4 this summer, but need my truck to continue running for the remainder of this winter, so if I could put the same radiator in the truck that would be used in a 3.4 swap then I could be one step ahead of the game in the spring and wouldn't have to waste the money for an extra radiator. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have my 3.0 radiator in there. Not the original cause it was beat up, but a replacement one. And it fits in there with my 3.4.

I've got an 94 3.0 radiator in my 85 w/ the 3.4 swap. Direct bolt it.

I ordered a radiator for a 95 Runner so I would be sure it had the auto trans cooler built in. My truck is a 92.

Amazon had great pricing. Summitracing was $155 or something and amazon was $107 I think with no shipping or tax.

Summit has shipping costs but no tax.

the 94 was a direct bolt in? That's pretty awesome. How about the hosing? Was it similar to the original radiator?

I don't really know for sure vs. the 22R hoses, but I'd assume they are the same size. I can find out later this week when i go back to my shop. Most people will use the 3.0 rad for the swap but keep the bottom inlet on the engine from the 3.0 and swamp it on the 3.4 engine due to the angles. I ended up finding a piece that I cut for a perfect "S" shape.

I got mine from Summit for $75-90. The hoses from NAPA, found some from Evoltas thread. Cut them to fit.

Well, I'm looking to hook the 3.0 radiator up to my 22r right now because I could use a new radiator. So my concern is whether I can use the 3.0 with my 22r for the time and then I will swap the 3.4 in the spring.

I used a radiator for a 22RE-T. It's a direct bolt-in and it has 3 rows, just like the 3.0 radiators. The upper outlet is straight versus slightly angled on the 3.0 radiator, but the hose fits just fine.

I'll probably go with the 3.0 radiator because I'm going to end up putting the 3.4 in there, this way it will fit best when the time comes.
