AOR suspension good/bad opinions please
hi I have an 84 4runner well kind of for now it is the frame and will be receiving a body transplant from an 87. I want to build a reliable and versitile rig that I can drive daily if needed. Well after looking for countless hours I like the look of addicted offroads classic lifts front and rear. I want to run 35's and a sbc 350. I thought the 5" lift would be sufficient. Before I invest my money deeply into this truck I would like to see some rigs that have an AOR lift. So please post pic's vidio's and any opinions on this. All information is appreciated.

My lifts are Trail-Gear lifts. I run them on my own personal rigs and haven't had issue with them at all. If you have questions feel free to call me and i can answer whatever questions you might have. 970-420-4198

Scotty is always offering his assistance...all the suspension will work flawlessly..but i have heard the springs sag BADLY after a few years of some decently hard wheeling lol..i could be mistaken though
5" is a little much dont ya think....lol hell you could run 37's or bigger with that lol..

4" front and 5" rear for a 4runner.
I have built two of my personal rigs with these kits and at least 20 others. I have also sold probably 100 kits around the country. To date I have warrantied ONE spring due to it sagging.
If bumpstops are placed per spec, then the spring work just fine. Its when its user error that they will have problems. Negative arch just kills springs, and 95% of the people that complain about them sagging didn't set them up properly.
I have wheeled mine at the Hammers, Moab including Area BFE, and several other places around California, Utah, and Colorado with zero issues.

A 350 is only marginally heavier than a 3.0L. I ran the 4" in mine up front with my bumper and a winch. It was fine.
I have no issues selling anything he wants. IMO, a V8 is pretty overkill for a Toyota. FWIW, the 5"HD springs are just a 4" spring with an add a leaf. So, you could run those with the add a leaf pulled, and then when you do the V8 swap, you could add the extra leaf if you need it.

Here is a pic of mine with Trail Gear 4 inch front and 5 inch rear. 35 inch AT tires. We also fudged the rear a little by getting shackles 1 inch longer than came in the kit. Also built up the mounting point on the frame for the rear shackle mount. Pics of all that in my build thread linked in my sig. It looks like larger tires will fit but check out the flex shots in the build thread where I'm playing around in the desert and the 35's get pretty tucked up in there. Had to trim the rear bumper by the wheel well from where it is in this pic too.

With a SBC 350 I think you will need to be more concerned with your axles than springs. Good luck with the build.

Scotty will stand behind the products he sells. I bought a 4" IFS Eliminator Kit, 5" Classic Rear Lift with 6" shackles, and Sliders. He will tell you exactly what you need even if it is not the top dollar sell. You should also look up JGRUND85 for a complete turn-key build-up that Scotty did. I wish I had a wallet that overflowed with money so I could buy more products from Addicted.

Well like I said I am not 100% sure how I want this to go and it will not be finished anytime soon. Blknblu I checked out your build thread and looks close to what I want 350 may not be neccisary but I am a cheavy guy at heart. If not a 350 ill have to go 4.3 they all use the same mounts so moving to a 350 wont be too hard. thanks for the input.
