Used MAF? Yay or nay?

Found a used MAF for $60 and was wondering if this was a good idea? The dude guarantees his products with a warranty so I thought why not. It'll save me $130

If it has a guarantee then go for it, its alot cheaper than a new one.

You can always read out the terminals to make sure they are within the FSM specs. That's what I did when I bought one and everything checked out.

For my '88 4Runner with 320,000 miles I recently faced the same dilemma--with a new MAF sensor priced at $850, it was either going to be a used one or re-manufactured unit. After visting junk yards, EBay and the internet I decided to go with a re-manufactured unit from Advanced Auto for $125 plus core. It came with a 12 month warranty. Since putting it in my 4Runner it has run better than it had for the last 2-3 years. Can't wait to see the gas mileage.
