These are current pics of my 94 plow truck. It started out as an 89 truck. Will post build process.










This is what it looked like when I bought it for $900.

 

thats a nice truck. i hate red but that truck looks good red.

 

This is what started the rebuild on the 89 truck. Lots of rot and a cracked block at the rear main. Never seen one crack there before.

 

This is the doner truck. 94 with a great cab and running gear. The frame is junk thou.

 

Frame cut up for scrap. Saved the driveline pieces.

 

Had some surface rust an one small hole. The rest of cab is solid.

Start removing 89's cab and drivetrain.

Sprayed enamal on frame
Head gasket and new timing stuff just because I had the engine pulled.
Painted cab was set on 89 frame.

I was hoping to install all my grey interior out of my 89 into the 94 but it didn't fit. So I vinyl dyed all the blue pieces. Installed the interior and all the plow,salter and beacon wiring. That was a pain and very time consuming.

Next was prepping and painting: 2 new fenders,new lower valance,reusing 2 doors,cowl & hood.

 

Started on the doors. Trying to keep the cost down buy fixing these. The expenses added up waaaay to fast

 

Cut in the doors and fenders.

Everything's going to need wetsanding and buffed.

Putting it back together. Panels were wetsanded and buffed before assembling.
