HELP!!!!! No Power on low end and Hard starts in COLD weather.

3VZE with about 173000 miles. starts right up and runs fine when idling. Low to mid range power is really lacking whether under load or just with a normal rev. Has anyone had this problem? New fuel filter, plug wires, new cat and exhaust, and ran heet through the system. I have a few thoughts but want to see if yours is the same as mine. thanks for looking and helping.

i think theres a cold start injector just like on a 22r?? i THINK, but if its malfunctioning it wont give you that rich condition the motor needs when cold, runs good when warm right?

No even when it's warm it still seems to lag on the low end once the RPMs are up it runs great. It is so bad I can't even run on the highway in 5th gear and if uphill then I can't run in 4th gear either. Not enough power. If it did as you explained I would lean toward the cold start injector but it does it all the time. The hard to start when cold seems to be a result of the main problem. At least those are my thoughts. Please if anyone has had this happen or knows the issue HELP!!!! Thanks for your reply!

5VZ would be the best choice for power and $$$

U think so

I can get the 1UZ for about 400 as apposed to the 5VZE, I can get it for about 1000. They seem to be more, I guess just because of their popularity. I know in the long run the 1UZ would be a little more but V8 power is pretty nice
